Everything visitors ask us before their first visit to a cannabis club in Granada. If your question is not here, message us on WhatsApp and we will answer.
Joining the club
Do I need an invitation to enter a cannabis club in Granada?
Yes. Cannabis associations in Spain are private and cannot admit the general public. You need an invitation or referral before you can register. You can request one online and receive it the same day.
Can tourists join a cannabis club in Granada?
Yes. There is no residency requirement. Weed Granada welcomes visitors of any nationality, and our staff speak English and Spanish.
What is the minimum age?
You must be 18 or over. Some clubs in Granada set their own limit at 21. Photo ID is checked at the door every time.
What do I need to bring on my first visit?
Your passport or national ID card, your invitation, and cash for the membership fee. Registration is completed in person — it cannot be done remotely.
How long does registration take?
Usually ten to fifteen minutes at reception.
How much does membership cost?
Each association sets its own fee, and it covers the running of the club. You will be told the exact amount before you sign or pay anything.
Inside the club
What is a cannabis club actually like?
Closer to a private lounge than a shop: sofas, music, a bar with soft drinks and snacks, and usually a games area. Quiet in the afternoons, busier after 9pm.
Can I bring a friend?
Only if they register as a member too. Everyone who enters has to be on the books, with their own ID.
Can I take photos inside?
No photos or video of other members. Member privacy is the rule clubs enforce most strictly.
Can I buy cannabis to take away?
No. Everything stays inside the club. Taking cannabis outside puts you in a public space, where the law is completely different.
Is alcohol served?
Cannabis associations serve soft drinks, coffee and snacks rather than alcohol.
The law
Is weed legal in Granada?
Cannabis is decriminalised in private and penalised in public. Consuming inside a private club is not a criminal offence; consuming in the street can bring an administrative fine starting at €601. Full detail on our page about cannabis law in Granada.
Can I smoke in my hotel or Airbnb?
That is between you and the property’s own rules — most prohibit smoking of any kind, and you risk a cleaning charge or being asked to leave. The club is the safe option.
Does my membership protect me outside the club?
No. It applies to the club’s private premises only.
Can I take cannabis home with me?
No. Crossing a border with cannabis is a criminal offence regardless of Spanish tolerance.
Practical
Where is the club?
Because clubs are private, the address is not published. You receive it with your invitation.
How far in advance should I request an invitation?
A day or two before you want to visit is ideal. Same-day requests are usually fine, but planning ahead avoids disappointment.
Do you speak English?
Yes — English and Spanish.
